For many concert-goers, the Sheffield Bach Choir's performance of Handel's Messiah is an event not to be missed. This year the soprano soloist is local Sheffield singer Ella Taylor, former Chorister of the Year. She is joined in other solo roles by Alison Hudson, Christopher Trenholme and Quentin Brown. The choir are accompanied by the National Festival Orchestra, with Alan Horsey at the organ. The performance in the newly refurbished Sheffield Cathedral will be conducted by Simon Lindley.
